AIA West Virginia is the West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).  If you are an architect, here you'll find a myriad of professional tools and resources to help you do your job better. If you are a client, we have designed this site so that you might learn more about the benefits of the architect-client relationship in your building project. And if you are a student or an intern, college scholarship applications, Architectural Experience Program (AXP) information and career resources can be accessed here.

Congratulations to the winners of this year's AIA West Virginia Design Awards! The Design Awards Gala was held April 1, 2017 at the West Virginia Cultural Center.  It was a beautiful evening celebrating architecture in West Virginia.  Thanks so much to our friends and event sponsors for allowing our Chapter to continue investing in the future of architecture in our state through our Scholarship Program.  


Honor Awards:

Grove & Dall’Olio Architects of Gerrardstown, in association with Landmarks SGA in Somerset, Pennsylvania, received an Honor Award for Excellence in Preservation for restoration of the 1874 Charles Washington Hall in Charles Town.


Weidmann Architects of Bethesda, Maryland, received an Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture for its Hawk’s Nest Residence in Falling Waters. 

 

Merit Awards:

M&G Architects & Engineers - Achievement in Architecture for its renovation of the WesBanco Arena in Wheeling

ZMM Architects and Engineers - Achievement in Architecture for the Explorer Academy in Huntington

Omni Associates - Architects Inc. in Fairmont for the design of Grand Vue Park Treetop Villas in Moundsville

ZMM Architects and Engineers - Achievement in Sustainability for the Logan-Mingo Readiness Center in Charleston

For Achievement in Architecture in Alternate Media - GriD Architects for a future residence in Harpers Ferry
